Land o' Dreams

Under assignment to produce a Mash-up in a short (though extended) period of time, I decided to revisit some of Disney's more insensitive moments. This video features clips from, among others, Song of the South; A film that has never left the Disnay vaults since it's theatrical run except in its Brer Rabbit and "Zip-i-de-do-da" segments (ostensibly for its somewhat "hokey" presentation of black plantation workers (slaves???)). Other films featured are Peter Pan, The Three Cabelleros, and Dumbo cut into Disney's "Year of a Thousand Dreams" promo. If nothing else, enjoy some of the long forgotten Song of the South clips!

Nice! Really strong critique element. I like it.

I liked how the video made Disney seem like an alternate reality, a place to escape. I liked the combination of animated clips with live action. Well done!
